Article XI- ISPSA Scholarship Benefit
Section 1
The Iowa State Patrol Supervisor's Association (ISPSA) shall be granting scholarships to the children of current or retried members of the ISPSA in good standing upon application and approval. The board of directors of the ISPSA reserve the right to cancel or suspend the awarding of any scholarships or to discontinue this benefit at any time with a simple majority approval.
Section 2
The scholarship amounts will depend upon availability of funds within the treasury of the ISPSA, with a basic amount of $240.00 per year. The applicant may apply up to a maximum of four years. As funds are available this amount may be increased or decreased by the approval of the ISPSA board.
Section 3
Application forms may be obtained from the secretary/treasurer and upon completion shall be submitted to the president or secretary/treasurer for review prior to June 1 of the year requested.
Section 4
Guidelines for Application

(a) Application must be a child or dependent of current member of the ISPSA
​
(b) Applicant must be a full-time student
​
(c) Applicant must have successfully completed or projected to complete the current schooling semester (GPS of 2.0 or higher).

(d) In addition to the application, the applicant will submit an essay of a minimum 250 words on their goals, and the objectives they wish to obtain through their education.
