The purpose of the Association shall be to promote friendship among its members; to assist its members; to promote moral, intellectual, and social benefits; to promote general welfare of the members; to include a sense of individual obligation of the Iowa State Patrol, Division of Criminal Investigation, Division of Narcotics Enforcement, and Division of the State Fire Marshal; to concentrate and sanctify comradeship of its members by devotion to mutual helpfulness; to take such concerted action as may be deemed advisable and desirable to accomplish the aforesaid purposes, and to develop goodwill and fellowship among the members through social and recreational activities, and to promote and provide for the general welfare of the members of the Association and their families by such appropriate means as may be determined by the members.
